How do you turn a pile of dusty bones, fossilised
skin and footprint impressions into a living, breathing dinosaur?
Welcome to the amazing world of the palaeo-artist! Palaeo-artists
combine meticulous research and remarkable vision to bring alive prehistoric
creatures and their worlds. The images they create provide us with
windows into the past.
"Monster Art" is the first exhibition dedicated
to the work of British-based palaeo-artists and features original creations
by eleven craftsmen: John Sibbick, Steve Kirk, Luis Rey, Jon Hoad, Arril
Johnson, James Robbins, Steven White, John Holmes, Richard Hammond, Peter
Minister and Robert Nicholls. Between them, these artists can boast
artwork in dozens of popular books, as well as television productions and
exhibitions. In addition to paintings and sketches, the show features
superb scale models of dinosaurs
