The XXXII Art
Medal Congress will be held in Glasgow between Tuesday 10th July
and Saturday 14th July 2012.
It will be organised by the Hunter Coin Cabinet of the Hunterian
Museum and Art Gallery at the University of Glasgow in collaboration with
FIDEM. The Congress
will be held at the University of Glasgow located in one of the liveliest and
most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. The Hunterian is the oldest public museum
in Scotland and is to be found in the magnificent Main Building of the
University, designed in Gothic style by Sir George Gilbert Scott. Situated in
the west end of Glasgow, a short distance from the city centre, the
University is one of the city's best known landmarks. The Congress
is accompanied by a special exhibition which will display the submissions
from medallic artists around the world. CONTACT Dr Sally-Anne Coupar Secretary, FIDEM XXXII Art Medal
